Earthquakes sign Colombian midfielder Moreno (AP)

The San Jose Earthquakes have signed well-traveled Colombian midfielder Tressor Moreno to a contract pending him acquiring his visa. The team announced the move Thursday. The 33-year-old Moreno has appeared in matches for teams in Colombia, France, Chile, Mexico and Peru, while also making a number of appearances for the Colombian national team.

Buddle returns to Galaxy after a year in Germany (AP)

Edson Buddle returned to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday after a year in the German second division, adding yet another scoring talent to the defending MLS champions' star-studded roster. The 30-year-old American forward re-signed with the Galaxy one day after his contract was terminated by Ingolstadt.

Union trade Le Toux to Whitecaps (AP)

The Philadelphia Union have traded Sebastien Le Toux to the Vancouver Whitecaps in exchange for allocation money. Per MLS and club policies, the terms of Tuesday's trade were not disclosed. Le Toux was selected by the Union in the 2009 MLS expansion draft and quickly became the most productive offensive player on the team, scoring 14 goals with 11 assists in 2010.

Red Bulls re-sign midfielder Joel Lindpere (AP)

Midfielder Joel Lindpere has signed a new multi-year contract with the New York Red Bulls. The MLS team announced the signing on Tuesday. Lindpere was the team's 2010 most valuable player. He started a franchise-record 34 regular season games this past season, a franchise record. Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler said the team wanted to reward Lindpere to recognize his efforts.
