This 87 minute roller coaster ride called "Crank" (top) takes you through many locations in and around Los Angeles.
The establishing shot showed us L.A.'s Chinatown. However, the Alaska Sea Food Restaurant is in San Pedro's Ports 'O Call. This was the place where Chev decided to serve up his girlfriend Eve some Kung Pao.

When Chev ( Jason Statham) needs to aquire some ephedrine, he goes to this hospital. This is actually Robert F. Kennedy Medical Center in the city of Hawthorne. When I was a wee lad, I spent many a day at this hospital getting stitched back together. Today, this hospital specializes in bullet wounds.

The 2006 film "Crank" with (my favorite bad guy) Jason Statham was a high energy movie and a fun project for me to track down the L.A. locations that were used.
The corner of Wilshire and Hope was where Chelios (Statham) steals a bike right out from under an L.A. cop after he watches himself on the TV news through a store window (top).
Hard to duplicate the incredible wide angle of the view caught in the grab.

The sky scrapers at 8th and Figueroa serve as the (green screen) backdrop for Chelios' (Statham) fall from the helicopter at the end of the movie.

At the movie's end, we are back at the corner of Wilshire and Hope where Chelios (Statham) finds a cushion of a car to land on. This is the same corner where he stole the cop bike earlier.
Same corner, different camera view, these recycled locations make it more cost effective for the location permits.

While high on just about everything, Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) surfs his stolen police bike through the streets of Westwood before crashing into a sidewalk cafe in the movie "Crank".
Outdoor cafes line this street so I could only assume that at the time of shooting this stunt, this storefront was most likely an actual cafe.
